Luxury...coupons?
I love travel. Part of that is treating myself to nice restaurants and spa days. This is hard to do on a teacher's salary!
I've always had my little bag of cheap travel tricks, like:
- knowing when to splurge for a nice hotel and when to sleep on the airport bench (check the website Sleeping in Airports for tips and reviews)
- booking trips way ahead of time to get dirt cheap budget flights (like Easyjet Airlines)
- Splurging on a nice lunch (when the prices are cheap and I have time to walk off the calories) and eating a smaller, cheaper grocery store dinner.
For Canadian cities: TeamBuy
For North American cities: Groupon
For London: Keynoir
Most coupons are good for 6 or 12 months after you buy them. I started looking for NYC coupons a few weeks before I left and got some great 1/2 priced meals! In Halifax, we got food and fun (sock monkey puppets kits!). Now, I'll keep an eye on Keynoir and be ready for some 1/2 price luxury on my next trip to London.
