Siena Cathedral - Inside

The cathedral (Duomo di Siena) was simply beautiful outside and downright spectacular on the inside. According to Wikipedia, it was built between 1215 - 1263. It was serendipidious, since that was the small window of time when Moorish was all the rage in architechture. That meant striking black and white marble stripes everywhere!

Along the nave, there were all these littls busts of the Popes.

There was also a magnificent library with original frescos from 1500.
