Well I'm sorry but you may need to wait a week or so for pictures. I am simply too busy cramming fun and relaxation into a very short time frame and dial-up is not accomadating. It's been a lovely day, with two hours of dedicated strawberry work to turn three flats of strawberries into the winter supply.

Then there was a rather exciting 6-hand crokinole game. Dad, Aunt Evelyn, and Grammie won hands down. Mom was too nervous about getting it wrong, and I am admittedly too non-chalant in setting up my play.

We went to the Mapleton Stawberry Supper for dinner. You'll really have to see the picture to get the sense of the down-home nature of the church basement full of friendly country folk. The food was delicious, and there was even a band tucked away in the corner. Worlds away from Toronto and worlds away from Taiwan.

Next on my to-do list is to get all the stuff I bought out of the shopping bags and repacked into my suitcase.

Then the sun-porch beckons; "I long to be out in the sun with no work to be done." - Irving Berlin

AHHHH! Crazy, crazy jealous. I walked past a tree on the way home today and got just a whiff of that nature smell I associate with Nova Scotia. Deep sigh. Taipei is sweltering and smells like smog. On a better note, I finished my 10 day marathon of teaching camp. The girls were great, but I need weekends. I'm slightly more optimistic about my summer- most people would be happy with nice accomodation, A/C, internet and cable along with all the wonders of Taipei and funds to enjoy 6 weeks in whatever way I choose. If I could only get over the 2 inch cockroach in the toilet bowl. (Thankfully I saw him right away and clean up was as easy as a flush!)
