Can I just say how happy I was to get my first Nanowrimo email this year! I went to the website, registered as a 2005 participant and got my new "participant image" for the sidebar. Exciting! I can't wait to start planning my novel. I have a few ideas I'm working on, and the rest of October to sketch out the plot.
Is anyone going to do it with me this year? It's a heck of a lot of fun. I suppose it's kind of like the experience of training for a marathon - extreme self-discipline for the ultimate payoff at the end. Except Nanowrimo does not involve exercise or cold mornings. It's more like curling up in a blanket with a coffee on a late Saturday morning. My kind of self-discipline!
