Stop kicking the table!!!

Well, Karen, Carolyn and I were out to lunch on Friday at the NY Bagel Cafe. We were sitting comfortably in our little round booth, munching on our grilled chicken sandwiches, when the booth started rocking. I looked at Carolyn grumpily and thought "Stop kicking the table." She looked at me and thought the same thing. Then we noticed the entire building was shaking, and the lights were swinging back and forth, etc. Ohhhh, an earthquake! It didn't last that long, but it was pretty exciting. THe earth really does rock back and forth, and you really do feel it! (They told us later it was about a 4 on the richter scale in Taipei). It's fun as long as you're in a city like Taipei where are the buildings are built earthquake proof so you know your safe. But that was my little excitement for Friday, oh, that, and finally getting my first pay. I'm rich!

Hey Carole, did you know that the news here reported the earthquake as a 7 on the richter scale? Compare that to the earthquake a few years ago (in which over 2000 people died) which was a 7.6!
