Today is the Lantern Festival, which seems to mean lots of Christmas lights and eating Rice Dumplings. The rice dumplings are not to my taste, they have a very chewy glutenous consistency that made me gag the first time I tried them. Fortunately, I was able to feed my rice dumplings to Kathleen, while making it look like I tried some. Handy.
Today was stressful, making sure Kathleen knew where to go and what to do. It was like trying to keep two people's lives running. Whew. She's a fast learner, though! The fun part of today was walking around together and having all of our cute students STARE and giggle. They thought it was hilarious.
Having Kathleen here is also nice because as she unpacks, she keeps giving me new gifts. One surprise after another, little things from Canada that I can't get here, somethings that I asked for and some surprises. Right now, I'm enjoying wine gums. Yumm.
This is a boring post, I actually feel boring today in general. I'm just hanging in there until the weekend...I think I can, I think I can.
