Yesterday morning I got up for Saturday class, and went through the usual routine. Plugged in the kettle to boil water, and made myself a cup of tea. I never bother to turn on the kitchen light, I just go through the motions. Got to class, drank my tea no problem. But I'll bet you can feel the impending doom.
When I got home, I found the new housemate, S., in the kitchen cleaning away. I asked her what she was up to, "Well, I went to boil water, but when I opened the lid I found a huge nest of ants, thousands of them, swarming around with eggs in their mouth and everything." Ummm. Yah, that's gross. Today's to do list includes: "Buy new kettle" and "convince oneself that ingesting ants is harmless."

good protein! my sister did that once with 'honey bunches of oats' before bed one night, woke up the next morning and saw the bugs - mmmmm crunchy!
at least your's were sterilized in the boiling water!
